What is the EMS Chair?
The EMS Chair is a noninvasive device that uses electromagnetic stimulation to produce pelvic floor muscle contractions while a person remains seated and fully clothed. A clinician can explain how the technology works and whether it suits your needs.
Who might request an evaluation?
People may seek a pelvic health assessment for concerns such as:
- Urinary leakage or bladder control concerns
- Pelvic floor muscle weakness
- Changes in pelvic floor function after childbirth
- Questions about pelvic floor rehabilitation options
What should I expect?
Treatment sessions are described in the manufacturer's brochure as typically lasting approximately 20–30 minutes. The number and frequency of visits depend on clinical evaluation and the recommendations of your healthcare professional.
Is this right for me?
Not everyone is a candidate for electromagnetic stimulation. Tell your clinician about implanted medical devices, pregnancy, relevant medical conditions, and any other concerns before treatment. An individual assessment is needed before starting a program.
